Man Charged with Drug Possession

(Township of Centre Wellington, ON.) On Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at approximately 6:30am Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call regarding a suspicious vehicle stopped on Side Rd. 10 just west of the 1st Line of West Garafraxa Township.

Police located the vehicle which was abandoned in the middle of the road. While speaking with a witness, the driver of the vehicle returned and advised that he had ran out of gas however, refused to provide police any further information.

After speaking with the male it was determined that the vehicle was not insured. During the investigation police located a baggie containing crystal meth and drug paraphernalia.

Joseph Francey aged 22 on no fixed address is charged with Possession of Schedule 1 Drug Crystal Methamphetamine contrary to the Drugs and Substances Act, Operate Motor Vehicle, No Insurance contrary to the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act and Fail to Surrender Driver License contrary to the Highway Traffic. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on March 12, 2013 to answer to the charges.
